The Daito Forest Boardwalk, the first ever accessible trail in Japan, was started in Daito-cho, Higashi-Iwai county, Iwate prefecture. The panoramic view overlooking the Murone Ranch from the accessible accommodations of the Daito Furusato Bunkou (hometown outdoor school) is just one of the charms of this boardwalk.

In order to continue extending and building this little path, the Daito Ultra 100km Adventure Cross Race is held annually.
