WILDERNESS ON WHEELS(W.O.W.) is located in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. In 1986, this boardwalk was established as a model facility by volunteers who work towards expanding accessibility to the outdoors for people with disabilities. W.O.W. is a non-profit organization that is supported through donations and volunteers.

Starting at 9,100 feet, W.O.W follows a stream and then gently climbs to the peak of a 12,300 foot mountain. The boardwalk is 8-feet wide so that you can enjoy this beautiful natural landscape in your wheelchair. There are picnic areas for taking breaks or having lunch, a pond for fishing and even an accessible camp site for overnight camping. The Boardwalk is Open from the middle of April to the middle of October.
